About Findest
Findest is an email-attachment archiver. An AI reads each attachment and files it in the right folder of your Google Drive, OneDrive or Dropbox, following rules you write in plain language.
Who is behind Findest
Findest is built and operated by Javier Silgo Merino, a self-employed developer in Spain who is also the data controller named in the privacy policy. There is no larger company behind it: questions go to a person, at hello@findest.site. Profile: LinkedIn.
Why it exists
Findest started from a chore that kept repeating: downloading attachments from email and filing them by hand. Gmail and Outlook filters look at the envelope — sender, subject, size — not at the document, and automation tools move files without reading them. Findest reads the document itself, so the rule can be “supplier invoices for goods we bought” instead of a list of senders.
What it does, and what it does not
It connects to a mailbox read-only (Gmail or any IMAP account with an app password, or Outlook through Microsoft's consent screen), reads each new attachment, and files the ones that match a rule into the cloud folder you picked, renamed from the document's own contents. It never sends, deletes or modifies mail, and it never marks a message as read.
It files what arrives from the moment you connect. On mailboxes connected with an app password it can also file past mail, back 30 days on Free and up to 12 months on Pro and Business, but only the attachments that match your rules; Outlook accounts connected with Microsoft sign-in file new mail only. It does not open ZIP files, and it ignores attachments under 3 KB. A document that matches no rule is not filed; it appears in History with the reason.
