Questions, answered. Before you connect anything.
How Findest reads your mail, where your files go, and what each plan includes.
Privacy and security
Can Findest read all my email?
It connects read-only and only looks at messages that carry an attachment. Mail without one is skipped, and the body of a message is never stored. You can disconnect a mailbox at any time from Connections.
What does Findest see in my cloud?
On Google Drive, only the folders you pick in Google's own picker. On OneDrive and Dropbox it can write anywhere, which is what lets you file into folders you already have. How permissions work.
Where are my documents stored?
In your own cloud. Findest keeps a temporary copy in private storage in London, UK, so it can retry if something fails, isolated per user at the database level.
Can I delete my account and all my data?
Yes, from Settings. Documents, rules, connections and history are deleted with the account, and an active subscription is cancelled first.
Connecting mail and clouds
Which mailboxes work?
Gmail, iCloud, Yahoo and any IMAP mailbox with an app password, and Outlook or Hotmail with a Microsoft sign-in. No waiting list and no forwarding rules.
Why an app password instead of a Google button?
Because it works today for any Gmail account with two-step verification, without a Google review queue. It's read-only, and you can revoke it from your Google account whenever you want.
How fast is a document filed?
Findest checks your mailbox every 5 minutes, so an attachment is usually in its folder in under 5 minutes.
Which clouds can it file to?
Google Drive, OneDrive (including SharePoint and Teams folders) and Dropbox. Each rule chooses its own cloud and folder. Connecting accounts.
How the AI files
How does Findest decide where a document goes?
The AI reads the whole attachment and compares it with all your rules at once, written in plain language. It picks the one that fits, or none. How classification works.
What if no rule fits, or the AI gets it wrong?
Nothing is filed blind. The document appears in your History as “no rule matched”, with the reason, so you can adjust the rule. A failed upload is retried on its own.
Which file types does it read?
PDF, images (JPG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC), Word and Excel (DOCX, XLSX), text and CSV, from 3 KB to 25 MB per attachment. Scans and photos of paper documents work too.
What language do I write rules in?
Any. Describe what goes in each folder the way you would explain it to a colleague.
Plans and billing
What's the difference between the plans?
Free: 2 rules, 30 files a month and 1 mailbox. Pro: 15 rules, 500 files and unlimited mailboxes. Business: unlimited, and one document can go to several clouds. Compare plans.
Is there a plan for teams and accounting firms?
Yes, Teams: several people under one company, shared rules and per-person permissions, and for firms one folder per client. See Teams plans.
Can I cancel whenever I want?
Yes, from your Plan page, with no minimum. You keep your plan until the end of the period you already paid for.
