Findest only ever gets the folders you pick yourself in Google's own picker, plus the files it writes into them. The rest of your Drive stays invisible to it — including the files that were already in the folder you picked.
What people usually ask.
Does it work with Shared Drives, not just My Drive?
Yes. If your Google account belongs to a Shared Drive, it shows up in the same folder browser as My Drive, and any rule can point to it.
Do I have to give Findest access to my whole Drive?
No. Findest uses the drive.file scope,
so it only ever gets the folders you pick yourself in Google's
picker and the files it writes into them — the rest of your Drive

Can I file into a Shared Drive, not just My Drive?
Yes. Any Shared Drive your Workspace account belongs to shows up in the folder browser alongside My Drive, and a rule can target either.
What happens if I disconnect Google Drive later?
Existing files stay exactly where they are in your Drive. Findest just stops uploading new ones until you reconnect.
