Terms of Service
Last updated: August 22, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Findest, a service that connects to your Gmail to read new mail, classifies matching attachments with AI, and files them into your own cloud storage according to rules you define ("the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who runs Findest
Findest is operated by Javier Silgo Merino, a self-employed individual (autónomo) registered in Spain, DNI 49836587A ("we", "us", "Findest"). You can reach us at [email protected].
2. What the Service does
You connect your Gmail account, granting Findest read-only access to your mail. From then on, for each new email that arrives, Findest:
- Downloads any attachments that pass an initial filter and stores them temporarily in private, per-user storage.
- Uses an AI model to read each one in full and assign it a descriptive label (e.g. invoice, payslip, contract).
- Evaluates the document against the descriptions of all your rules at once and selects the one that fits best. If none of them fits, the document is not filed — it's left in your History marked as unmatched, with the reason, for you to review.
- If a rule matches, renames the file and uploads it to the destination folder you configured in your Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, or Dropbox.
Findest's access to your Gmail is read-only: it can never send, delete, or modify anything in your inbox, and you can revoke it at any time from Connections or your Google Account. See Security for the full detail on what each provider grants us access to.
3. Your account
You must provide accurate information when you sign up and keep your credentials confidential. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
You must be at least 16 years old to use Findest.
4. Plans, pricing, and billing
Findest offers a Free plan and paid Pro and Business plans, billed monthly or annually, with limits on active rules and files processed per month as described on the Pricing page. Prices are shown excluding VAT, which is calculated and added at checkout based on your country.
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance and renew automatically for the same period unless you cancel first. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, who acts as the merchant of record for these transactions and handles payment methods, invoicing, and VAT.
You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from your Plan dashboard. Upgrades and downgrades are prorated automatically. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access to your current plan until the end of the period you already paid for. See our Refund Policy for what happens to payments already made.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to process documents you don't have the right to handle, or that belong to someone else without their consent.
- Attempt to access another user's account, data, or connected cloud storage.
- Send content that is unlawful, infringing, or that contains malware.
- Interfere with the Service's infrastructure, probe it for vulnerabilities without authorization, or exceed reasonable usage in a way that degrades it for other users.
- Connect a Gmail account you're not authorized to access, or use the connection for anything other than filing your own documents.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches this section, with notice where reasonably possible.
6. Your content
You retain all rights to the documents you send through Findest. We only process them to provide the Service — to classify them and move them to the cloud folder you chose. We don't use your documents to train AI models, and we don't sell or share them with third parties beyond the subprocessors described in our Privacy Policy, strictly to operate the Service.
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings; deletion cascades to your documents, rules, connections, and history.
7. Third-party cloud storage
Findest connects to Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, and/or Dropbox on your behalf, using the authorization you grant. Your relationship with those providers is governed by their own terms; Findest is not responsible for their availability, changes to their APIs, or the security of your account with them beyond the access you explicitly grant us.
8. Availability and changes to the Service
We aim to keep Findest available and reliable, including automatic retries when a cloud upload fails temporarily, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify or discontinue features; if a change materially reduces what a paid plan includes, we'll tell you in advance by email.
9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is". Findest uses an AI model to classify documents, and classification can be wrong; that's why documents that don't clearly fit one of your rules are never filed automatically — they're left for your review instead. You're responsible for checking that documents end up where you expect, particularly for anything with legal or fiscal consequences.
To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We're not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for the actions of third-party providers (cloud storage, email, payment processing) we integrate with.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Spanish law, including liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence.
10. Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, non-payment, or if required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, liability, governing law) continue to apply.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We'll post the new version here with an updated date, and for material changes we'll notify you by email before they take effect.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by Spanish law. Any dispute not resolved informally will be submitted to the courts of Spain, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence that may apply in your favor.
